Looks Like 2007 is a worst year for me :(

Dear Friends,
I have a bad very bad news! On Sunday 7th January, 2007  I was notified by our datacenter that our server experienced a hard drive crash. This resulted in the server Operating System to stop working which in turn completely crashed the server.

Furthermore, I was told that the old hard disk would be connected to the server in order for me to have access to recover any files on that hard disk.

My datacenter provider attached the old disk as a secondary to the new primary drive. Originally the datacenter claimed that the account files would be on the disk. However, after checking first hand, I have found that system files are there dating back to 2004-2006, but there are no accounts in the /home directory, nor are there any files in the /db/ directory for mysql. Thus I can pretty much confirm now that all data has been lost. It's a bit upsetting in that I was told there would be some sort of data available. Common sense would lead one to believe that this meant the account or website files would be the data they were talking about since that is really what matters most. However, there were no files to be found.

I have lost every thing which I had, my all years of work is now vanish, I have lost all of my high profiles websites including the PakGamers.com! all the backup were on the server hard-disk so I have nothing in my hands now! looks like this is the end..my dreams has been shattered.

Right now I am in the middle of my final exams..which are already messed up due to this tension which is not getting out of my head :( anyway..I don't know what to do..I am totally lost!

After my exams 16th January, 2007 I will see what to do next..I am only seeing a one option i-e restarting PakGamers and other sites from ground-zero!
